This paper presents an analysis of queuing and propagation delays of Inter-Satellite Links (ISLs) in broadband Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite networks. It is shown that queuing delays are negligible in all reasonable working conditions of the broadband ISL network. This fact makes it possible to simplify the routing protocols in such networks and permits using already known multi-commodity flow solutions for routing. The performance of such solutions is evaluated. The evaluation shows a significant increase in the overall network capacity in comparison to the traditional shortest-path approach.
