Abstract

As Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) has been employed as the wireless access technology in Long Term Evolution (LTE) systems and all of the Advanced International Mobile Telecom System (IMT-advanced) candidate technologies, the inter-cell interference mitigation technique becomes a popular research topic. In this paper, a novel interference mitigation technique based on Resource Joint Time and Frequency Planning and Scheduling (RJTFPS) is introduced and two different implementations of RJTFPS according to network load conditions are proposed. Simulation results illustrate that both schemes can effectively reduce the interference and increases the cell throughput of OFDMA system.
