In this paper, a Novel PCA-based authentication watermarking scheme with superior localization and security is proposed. The input image is partitioned into non-overlapping 8×8 image blocks. An alternate representation of these image blocks is obtained based on principal component analysis (PCA). The authentication watermark bits are generated from the first m coefficients among these blocks. In order to resist vector quantization (VQ) attack and collage attack, and tolerate incidental manipulation, each bit of the block's authentication watermark is redundancy embedded into another block which is selected by its corresponding secret key. Theoretic analysis and experimental results have proved that the proposed algorithm not only has superior localization and security to all kinds of attack, but also tolerate incidental manipulations while keep sensitive to malicious manipulations.
