Abstract

Recently, memory polynomial model is used to predistort power amplifiers with memory effects. Until now, the predistortion architecture using memory polynomial model predistorts the amplitude and phase of the signals simultaneously. This paper describes a new predistortion architecture using memory polynomial model (MPM) - it predistorts AM/AM and AM/PM separately. It turns out that, when compared with the traditional architecture, the new architecture can significantly reduce the ACPR and EVM of the output signals.
