Abstract

A new scheme of sharing secrets in stego images with authentication is presented with three aspects of innovations in comparison with the leading method in the field. A novel secret image sharing scheme is proposed, two stego blocks instead of a single one are processed each time for authentication, and the check bits are generated by effectively combining authentication concepts with Hamming code ideas. As a result, the authentication ability is enhanced, visual quality of the stego images is improved and an additional capability of error correction over noisy channels is added. Experimental results are given to demonstrate these characteristics of our method.
