Using the projected 2D tilted images obtained from the transmission electron microscopy, we can reconstruct the 3D structures of samples, such as cells. As a preprocessing procedure, the tilted images should be aligned and compensated in terms of the spatial position and the intensity difference, respectively. In this paper, the fiducial marker-based approach is employed to perform the alignment, and based on the transmissivity image formation model, an algorithm that can compensate the image intensities according to the tilted angle is proposed. A numerical analysis using mitochondria images is performed to show the performance of the proposed algorithm.
