Discovering and maintaining routes between mobile nodes are one of the biggest challenges in mobile ad hoc networks due to the topology of these networks can change rapidly and unpredictably as the mobile nodes change position. Such features require robust, scalable and adaptive communications protocols that can handle the unique challenges these networks smoothly. In this paper, we propose a new interface scheme based on cross layer approach called Real Multiroute System (RMS). With solving the limitation of existing localized routing layer, RMS is a process to interact of Media Access Control (MAC), routing and transport layers in a protocol stack. Analysis and simulation results show that adjusting the route table state in RMS process can reduce packet losses and improve the performance systems.
