Abstract

In this paper, we present the MANET-Viewer which is a system that builds a visible ad-hoc network using PCs and wireless LAN cards. The multi-hop communication function needed for visualization of ad-hoc network is implemented on the application layer as a pseudo protocol. For visualization, we implemented three methods: HOP Tree method, manual method and GPS method. The communication for visualization is completed in few seconds. We verified by an experiment that the MANET-Viewer system represented the state of each node and the network structure in a prompt way and made the monitoring of ad-hoc network easily.
