Abstract

Domain users are not only interested in the detection of predefined complex event patterns but also in their step by step execution and their usage statistics in order to make predictions or detect problems in defined patterns. However, existing Complex Event Processing engines are like a black box and are designed for a complete matching of a pattern and therefore do not consider the concept of partially fulfilled patterns. In this demo we present a pattern monitoring system based on the open source CEP engine Esper. The goal is to provide the current fulfillment degree of a pattern including a detailed pattern graph such that the domain user can see which part of the pattern is evaluated true and which not before taking any decisions.
