Abstract

The paper described a framework for optimising multi stage, multi-objective design of work roll, based on the cooling performance. The framework develops a Meta models from a set of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for multi stage rolling cooling process. And used in the optimisation. A design of experiment technique is used to identify the FEA runs. A post optimisation procedure is adopted and used for final optimum solution search.
