Abstract

Many services are being introduced as mobile telecommunication technology advances and they provide profits to the mobile network operators (MNO). However, the adoptions of new services often require additional features in terminal devices or even in the networks. Some pre-standardized services may not be supported in the network or even require some changes in the network architectures, which makes the deployment of new services challenging. In this paper we propose a UMTS core network architecture to support various services with the service map. The proposed architecture supports the easy adoption/test of the prestandardized services and easy creation of specialized services for networks.
