Abstract

Decision making in the business sector is considered one of the sensitive tasks. The business managers always makes decisions one thing in mind the power selling of items. The objective of the study is to develop a mechanism for the identification of Dead Stock, Slow and Fast Moving items and analyze the trends of the certain products of certain properties. In general practice, Lot of items are available for selling, in which different variations are found according to their sales i.e. some will be high sells, few may be moderate sells and few may be low sales items but the problem is to find the selling power of a product in the market. The problem is the evaluation of stock data to identify the reasons of dead stock, slow moving and fast moving. The problem which will be investigated is finding out the selling power of products in the market based on various scenarios. We have to investigate how to distinguish the selling frequency of items on the basis the known attributes. Form these known attributes we have to predict that certain products of certain properties have what type of sales trends in various locations
