Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are becoming increasingly popular for a broad range of applications including automation and remote sensing. Integration of wireless networks and the internet has been adopted by some system designers and developers for providing convenient remote access to the data. However, an end user, who is not proficient in technology, struggles maintaining such a complex system. This paper proposes a service-based model where the end user can easily deploy and maintain a WSN while keeping the cost to minimum. We also describe a prototype implementation of this model.
