Abstract

Currently, architectural knowledge management focuses mostly on the explicit representation of knowledge, under the codification strategy. Due to its limitations, recent research favors a hybrid approach, combining the codification and personalization strategies. In this paper, we argue that tacit architectural knowledge can help solve this problem. We propose to investigate the knowledge conversion processes of internalization and socialization and their real world impact.
