In this paper, a novel reversible data hiding algorithm based on the prediction error is proposed. The different of host images is calculated from different direction according to the embedded capacity. Multilayer technique is used to increase the embedded capacity. The first layer is horizontal scanning; the second layer is vertical scanning, and so on. Then the predicted method is used to predict the target different. The data is embedded by changing the predicted error. Experimental results show that our scheme not only can embed data easily, but also can get good image's quality.
