Abstract

The spectrum analysis is one of the key technologies for the detection of yarn quality in the textile industry. It was realized indirectly by the filter method in the past. But the reliability and stability of analog filter method can not be guaranteed, and the algorithm of digital filter method is complex and difficult to be realized. As for these problems, this paper puts forward a new spectrum analysis method, which uses the frequency-domain sampling DFT algorithm to directly calculate and analyze the spectrum of yarn signal, thereby the difficulties in designing and realizing many filters can be avoided. At the same time, the new algorithm can be achieved with low complexity and computing cost. Finally, the feasibility of the new algorithm is verified by MATLAB software simulation.
