Touch sensing devices are more intuitive and easier than traditional input devices such as mouse and other pointing devices. Bare fingers manipulate on the surface of touch sensing devices directly. However, the high precision target selection is difficult for the users in touch sensing device because of the visual occlusion and the limitation of “fat finger”. In this paper, we make an integral investigation on the previous literatures and survey all the possible techniques for precision target selection in touch sensing devices. Four kinds of typical techniques are discussed in detail. Finally, we propose some suggestion and discuss the future work.
