Abstract

The paper presents and discusses a prototype for the tracking and visualization of mobile user experience using the example of emergency management and response. The tracking prototype consists of GPS-devices and mini video cameras. The approach is based on time-geographic methods of visualization. It represents user interactions, mobile communication and media use in its locative and temporal dimensions. Using a spatiotemporal approach to mobile communities allows insights about the structure of mobile interactions, mobile communities and mobile user contexts.
