Resource allocation and call admission control (CAC) are key functions in future 4G networks, as they can allow for efficient utilization of resources as well as provide Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees to users. In this work, a novel mechanism for resource allocation and CAC is proposed using the cost of each service and the user channel gains to partition the available bandwidth in accordance with a complete partitioning (CP)-structure. Numerical results demonstrate that the pricing model has a strong impact on the blocking probability associated with a particular traffic class.
