Abstract

Voronoi diagrams are a useful tool for computing spatial relationships. This paper is about the application of this concept to 3D data obtained from forests to answer questions in ecology. The standard construction treats each point as an independent entity, but here the objects are sets of points that correspond to a tree or cluster of trees.
