Abstract

The increasing demand for multimedia applications, such as imprint Interactive Digital TV, requires mechanisms to reduce development time of new applications. One of ways to reduce this time is to use the author-oriented archetypes as a basis for rapid construction of applications. Such archetypes are incomplete documents consisting of gaps, shares that are subject to change editable by the author of a new application. This paper proposes a declarative scheme annotations in multimedia documents to identify structures and facilitate applicants to fill the gaps. An archetypes processor was implemented to allow generating an instance of an archetype based on data provided by the author.
