The increasing number of portable devices enabled with wireless technology interfaces has motivated the development of different services to provide access to multimedia contents anywhere and at any time. Most existing services however are directed at a specific purpose, rely on the existence of an appropriate network infrastructure, impose high deployment costs or even require the use of not widely available communication resources. This work presents a low cost model for sharing and providing media contents to mobile devices. The developed model also provides support for opportunistic computing as a delivery method.
