Abstract

This paper describes the specification, design and development of a tool for the subjective evaluation of videos. The specification was based on preliminary tests results of the implementation of the method SDSCE for evaluation of uncompressed digital video degraded by artifacts generated synthetically. The control of the generation of artifacts allowed to produce different levels of video degradation and evaluate the visual impact in relation to those found in real situations. The results and comments performed led to the design of a tool to be used in an environment of video evaluation, described here.
