Abstract

This article aims to show ARGOS, a program developed which aims to enable the navigation in virtual worlds using a low cost tangible interface. This is an application that unites the power of graphic processing in a real-time OGRE3D, the Augmented Reality library ARToolkitPlus and a intuitive user centered interface. Conceptualization of technology, positive experiences of tangible interfaces and partial results of the program are presented throughout the article. A practical application with accessible interface for navigation in virtual worlds is also presented.
