Abstract

In this paper we present an easy approach to determine analytically the maximum value of the relative magnetic permeability. This method based on cubic spline functions gives exactly this maximum value as the root of an algebraic equation of the third degree without using some solvers (for example Newton-Raphson solver) to handle non-linearity of magnetic materials. This approach can by useful for practical applications and educational goals because of its simplicity.
