In this paper, we obtain the distribution of the distances between an arbitrary point and its dissimilar neighboring points in a spatial bivariate Poisson point process. We derive closed-form solutions for the real moments of the internodal distances for two special cases in which there is either strong or weak correlation between the number of points in a region. This point process can be used to model heterogeneous random networks. In particular, we discuss some applications of the obtained results in cognitive wireless networks.
