Abstract

The stability notion of the sign representation of images is introduced. Group properties of the invariant transformations on sign representations of images are investigated. Analytical estimates are obtained of the stability measure of the sign representation of images noise-affected by the normal additive noise. The relation is set up between the stability of the complete sign representation and the stability of the window sign representation. The results of the statistical modeling that confirm the validity of theoretical estimates are presented.
