Abstract

In this paper, it is shown that Brownian strings can be interpreted as a simple method for linguistic description of images. Evolution of those strings causes changes in chain codes, which can be interpreted as approaching the final linguistic description of object detected on the image. Some methods for comparison of linguistic patterns in the form of chain codes are described.
