Abstract

This paper gives an overview about the general PDEVS specification and the two established simulation approaches from Zeigler and Chow. Both approaches are analysed on the basis of a simple pipe-line model with respect to a real synchronous execution. Moreover, a new simulation approach for PDEVS with ports is introduced that extends Zeigler's algorithms with the goal to increase their ability for a real synchronous execution.
