Companies search for possibilities to lower their materials supply costs. E-sourcing provides new techniques that focus primarily on the quality and price of materials and enables the possibility to reach a bigger number of potential suppliers. In this paper authors present the concept of Economic Order Value and its application in e-sourcing strategy. The detailed procedure for creation of optimal time-defined transactions is described. The advantages and disadvantages of elaborated solution are discussed.
