We released Japanese WordNet Version 1.0 in March 2010, and are continuing to enrich the Japanese WordNet in several directions. The current version of the Japanese WordNet is a kind of translation of Princeton WordNet 3.0 and we used WordNets of multiple languages in order to disambiguate Japanese translations. Although the structure is based on Princeton WordNet 3.0, some information is still insufficient in our Japanese WordNet. For example, the adjective domain lacks semantic relations such as antonyms, attributes and so on. As part of our ongoing work to enrich the Japanese WordNet, we are investigating attribute nouns for which adjectives express values.
