Abstract

In this paper a model to calculate the capacity of millimeter wave integrated systems is proposed. The model includes Angle-of-Arrival information and is used to predict the static channel capacity. It is found that for millimeter wavelength systems, the LOS signal contributes significantly to the spatial MIMO channel capacity for short distance applications. Measurements of the spatial MIMO wireless channel in an indoor environment have been performed in the 55-57 GHz band and have been used to calculate the channel capacity.
