Abstract

I-fuzzy partitions have been defined to represent uncertainty on the clustering process. They are based on interval type-2 fuzzy sets, also known as Atanassov's intuitionistic fuzzy sets. In this paper we propose a method to define such I-fuzzy partitions from the results obtained by two applications of fuzzy c-means, one with a given parameter m1 and the other with a different parameter m2. The results presented extend some previous work.
