In this paper a direct sequence spread spectrum receiver architecture that is robust against narrowband interference (NBI) and multiple access interference (MAI) is introduced. The receiver features a combination of filter-banks and partial parallel interference cancellation architecture to excise NBI, cancel MAI and equalize inter-symbol interference (ISI) that results from NBI excision. Simulations show the receiver is able to suppress both strong NBI and MAI at the same time.
