Abstract

We are reporting the results of an enhanced performance human face detection using HSV color model without sacrificing the speed of detection. The proposed algorithm has been tested on standard images and gave very reasonable results, 12-28s for the speed of detection and 93- 100% performance with almost no false alarms. The algorithm includes skin classifications, 8-and 4- connectivity operations and developed face and nonface criteria. The work completed using MATLAB.
