Abstract

In this paper, we present a simulation of dynamic grid environments. We consider two types of dynamicity namely: 1) dynamic job arrival and 2) dynamically changing the resource load along with dynamic job arrival. We studied the behaviors of Min-Min, Max-Min, Sufferage and XSufferage algorithms under these dynamic environments. We used GridSim to simulate the dynamic grid. We also described the workflow scheduling problem under a dynamic grid environment. This paper also gives an overview of the previously considered approaches to solve the grid workflow scheduling problem.
