Abstract

This paper provides a rigorous modeling and analysis of quantization effects in pdf-optimized quantizers for the M-band case. We develop a technique for nulling out the signal distortion, and for minimizing quantization noise in the reconstructed output, while imposing perfect reconstruction constraints. It is a rigorous extension and generalization of works by Westerink [3], Vandendorpe [5], and Uzun [4].
