Abstract

In the past both linear and morpholagical approaches have been used to evaluate a scale space description and it has been shown that morphological techniques possess certain advantages including speed of computation. This paper extends linear Scale Space rules for zero crossing migration to those governing the migration of zero crossings in morphological Scale Space. The new theoretical results may be used to make feature tracking with non linear techniques more efficient.
