Abstract

In this paper the performance of a Direct Sequence Code Division Multiple Access (DS-CDMA) system is investigated under barrage jamming in an urban environment. Both the uplink and downlink transmission is taken into account. Especially uplink jamming was noticed to reduce capacity. Smart antennas were found to be an effective countermeasure against jamming.
