Abstract

Knowledge management is becoming one of key success factors for organizations in global economic environment. Knowledge management in the scope of computer science is widely understood as a process that supports and facilitates knowledge creation, access, modification and reuse. In the scope of this paper we investigate different approaches for deploying knowledge management. We are especially oriented towards mid-sized organizations with limited budget and limited resources with knowledge engineering capabilities. We propose an ontology based knowledge management system and present the core architecture as well as a development method for such a system.
