Abstract

Maintaining and supporting the software of an organization is not an easy task, and software maintainers do not currently have access to decision support systems (DSS) to evaluate strategies for improving specific software maintenance activities. This article presents a DSS designed to help locate exemplary practices offered by the software maintenance maturity model (S3m). The contribution of this paper is to instrument a maturity model with a DSS tool to assist software maintenance practitioners with locating specific best practices that could help them solve software maintenance problems.
