In previous papers a new model of the active network element has been described that is not controlled classically by sequential circuits but by neural networks. The Hopfield and the Kohenen networks proved to be the best suited for this use. This work describes selected parts of the model, with increased attention given to working with packets. The simulation has been designed using the MATLAB environment and the Simulink program.
