Abstract

The TauRUs survey (Taulbee For the Rest of Us) is an attempt to capture data regarding the state of computer science education at non-Ph.D. granting institutions. Annually, the Taulbee survey reports on the state of computer science programs at Ph.D. granting institutions. What this survey attempts to answer is how well does Taulbee data represent non-Ph.D. programs? If Taulbee is not representative, what are the differences between the three cohorts of programs: Ph.D. granting programs (which include Masters and undergraduate programs), Masters granting programs (which also include undergraduate programs), and undergraduate only programs.
