Abstract

Recently the reversible data hiding technology has been discussed extensively because of its major characteristic which enables the exact reconstruction of image from watermarked image. In this paper, a high capacity and high quality reversible watermarking method based on alternate shifting of peaks in the histogram of the image has been described. The embedded data has been extracted correctly, and the original image has been restored completely from watermarked images without any distortion. Performance comparisons with other histogram based scheme demonstrate the superiority of the proposed scheme.
