Abstract

Databases for online analytical processing (also called end-user computing) are discussed. The differences between end-user computing, which uses the multidimensional data model, and transaction processing, which uses the relational model, are examined. The differences between the two models are described. The data manipulation language and analytic functions used by end-user computer are also examined
