The process of printing and scanning is one of the most difficult problems not to be solved in the field of digital watermarking, because of lack knowledge of their nature. This paper focuses on the process of scanning. A novel method to determine scanner attack model parameters, i.e. Point Spread Function (PSF) is proposed in this paper. Compared with a standard method, the advantage of this proposed method is to acquire a complete two-dimensional PSF profile. Experimental results show that the proposed method is efficient to simulate the process of scanning.
