Abstract

The aim of this paper is the design of a robust high performance phase lag controller. This controller is responsible for placing the lenses inside a military telescope. Controller's performance will be assessed upon its ability of regulating the input current inside a limit of 1.5 A and its ability of setting the output response to a steady state of 1mm in less than 0.5 seconds. Simulink was used in order to simulate the designed controller with and without the presence of noise disturbance. Finally there is a brief comparison of the simulation results between the designed phase lag controller and a phase lead one.
