Abstract

This work deals with the objective measurement of the gear noise, in particular with the analysis of the gear whine which represents transmission noises resulting from gears engaged in the torque flow, i.e. teeth engagement noise. In this paper we present results obtained by our basic noise research on the vibration of gears using a "traditional" Fourier's approach compared with an "innovative" Wavelet's approach.
