Abstract

In this paper we proposed an ontology-based approach for reducing the ambiguity of bilingual translation. A metric based on the ontological chain for co-occurrence concept evaluation has also been proposed. Based on the ontology chain we can calculate the best translation of all possible translated terms. The experimental results show that the proposed approach can effectively remove the irrelevant results and improve the precision.
