Ad hoc network is a collection of nodes which do not require centralized administration and pre existing infrastructure. Each node can work like host as well as router. Energy efficient routing is the prime concern in mobile ad hoc networks. Various protocols and algorithms have been proposed for routing in ad hoc networks. In this paper we propose a bandwidth aware weight based DSR (BAWB-DSR) protocol which is an improvement of existing DSR and WBDSR protocol.
